Going outdoors with a camera is where I developed almost everything I have learned about photography. From exploring what's in my backyard to traveling as far away as Arizona or Niagara Falls, the Earth provides many different opportunities for art to be made.
This page is currently a work in progress as I am adding more photos, so check back frequently for more!

Tulips in the Sky was taken during the annual Tulip Time Festival in Holland, MI. When I first started landscape photography, I took a workshop with a local photographer near my hometown who taught me to “think like a rabbit” when photographing. While I was trying to avoid other tourists in my photos, I laid down on the ground and captured these tulips with the bright blue sky and wispy clouds above.
Upper Peninsula, Michigan
